This guide shows you how to turn on a public subscribe page for your KaiMail mailing list. Once enabled, anyone can join your list by visiting a URL and confirming their address. No account required, no code to embed.
Log in to the KaiMail dashboard and open the custom domain that holds your mailing list.
If you already have a mailing list mailbox, click to edit it. Otherwise, click Add Mailbox.
Select Email List from the route type dropdown. Then pick the list type:
This is the key step. Tick the checkbox labeled Allow public self-subscribe. This publishes a subscribe page for the list.
The List description field is not an internal note. It appears on the public subscribe page and again in the welcome email. Write it for a stranger who is deciding whether to hand over their email address.
Say what the list is, and say how often it goes out. For example:
Monthly updates on Python conferences and community events in Asia. No spam, unsubscribe anytime.
Save the mailbox. Open the list details page and copy the subscribe page URL. Share it:

After subscribing, visitors see a "Check your inbox" page, receive a confirmation email, click through to a confirmation page, and press Confirm subscription. Only then do they receive the welcome email.
